Progressive Discounts

Using iikoCard, you can set up a progressive discount system. This is one of the most frequently used measures to improve loyalty. When the total amount of a guest's orders reaches a certain limit, the guest is given a discount for new orders. When the next threshold is reached, the discount is increased. Thus, the guest tends to visit the outlet more often, in order to enjoy the offered benefits.

Let us consider an example of setting up such an offer. Dependence between the amount of discount and the ordered amount are shown in the table:

Discount, %5710
Order amount, EURMore than 50More than 75More than 150

To create the program:

  1. Go to the iikoCard > Programs tab.
  2. Click the Create button, enter the new program name and save the changes.
  3. Click the Edit button next to the special offer.
  4. Add the Amount of Orders during Period condition for the first threshold. Specify the order amount for the entire sales time in the settings.

  1. Add the Discounts and Special Prices action. In the settings, specify the dish mask and the discount amount that will be offered to a guest when the guest's orders reach the amount of EUR50. Using this mask, the discount will be applied to all dishes in the menu.

  1. Add another block with a condition and an action.
  2. To this new block, add a condition and an action similar to those created in paragraphs 5-6. Specify the amount of EUR75 in the condition and the amount of discount in the action – 7%.
  3. Add the third block and repeat steps detailed in paragraphs 5-6, except for the amount in the condition – EUR150 and discount amount in the action – 10%.
  4. Position the blocks in the descending discount and order amount order.
  5. Tick the Stop column next to the first two blocks. This is to ensure that the program stops as soon as the first condition is met. Otherwise, the order amount may meet several conditions, and discounts will be summed up. For example, the total amount of a customer's orders reached EUR100. The first condition is not met, the check continues. The amount meets the second condition; therefore, further check is discontinued, and the guest is given 7% discount.

  1. Click Save.
